E-LEARNING TRAINING MODULES FOR CUSTOMS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT
In 2022, ICCWC completed the development of 12 interactive e-learning training modules,
which are available in English, French and Spanish, and were rolled out to enhance the
capabilities of customs officers and other law enforcement authorities on various aspects
of illegal wildlife trade and enforcement of CITES.
To date, over 500 customs and law enforcement officials have benefitted from these
modules and applied the knowledge acquired in their daily law enforcement roles. These
modules also aim to ensure that fit-for-purpose tools are designed for countries, as part of
ICCWC's focus on sustainability.
